  • What is CBD?
The cannabis plant has over 500 distinct compounds, including cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc. Among these compounds are cannabinoids, which are the main active compounds of the plant. CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of the most important and well-known cannabinoids due to its unique profile of biomechanisms and significant impact on human systems. Cannabinoids come from plants classified as phytocannabinoids. In addition to CBD, other cannabinoids are very common such as Cannabinol (CBN), Cannabiderol (CBG), and Tetrahydrocannabionl (THC), the latter is responsible for the psychotropic effects often associated with the cannabis plant. The human body also naturally produces cannabinoids, called endocannabinoids, found, for example, in breast milk. Scientists have found that breast milk is a rich source of the endocannabinoids 2-AG and the fatty acid and neurotransmitter anandamide.
  • How does CBD and other cannabinoids interact with our bodies?
All humans and mammals in general have an endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is an inter-cellular communication system that interacts with endocannabinoids produced by our own body and with phytocannabinoids that come from plants. The main function of the ECS is to maintain the body's homeostasis, or harmony and balance in the responses that the body provides to changes around us. A variety of benefits are now attributed to CBD and other cannabinoids involved in diverse processes such as management of pain, memory, appetite, stress, and sleep as well as in the metabolic, immune and reproductive systems.
  • What conditions are most commonly treated with medical cannabis?
Many conditions have been treated with cannabis, the most common being: Depression, Anxiety, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Cancer, Epilepsy, Chronic Pain, Insomnia and Dementia. Cannabis is still being used for many other benefits such as problems with muscle loss, appetite control and energy gain in general.
  • Is CBD use allowed in Brazil?
The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) is the entity responsible for the acceptance of medical products in Brazil and since 2016 allows the medical importation, by individuals, of products containing CBD. (RDC/ANVISA 66/2016)
  • What brands do you sell?
We sell the U.S. based brands Revida Labs and Polite. Both brands are made adhering to the strictest production and quality regulations of the United States of America and are based on extensive studies and research in the field of medical cannabis. Our products are made from organic, non-GMO (non-GMO) hemp plants and not from the marijuana plant.
  • What is the expiration date of the products you sell?
